Science at Bader is all about the children learning about the way the world around them works.
The science curriculum has been designed to allow teachers to structure science learning to follow the children’s interests. Children are encouraged to ask questions about scientific phenomenon and teachers then plan schemes of learning to teach children how to answer these questions. The National Curriculum has been aligned with the Association for Science Education’s Big Ideas of Science, meaning that teachers are able to develop conceptual understanding and scientific skills throughout the year in all areas of science for each year group. This approach has been peer reviewed by colleagues at Durham University School of Education.
We are excited to be moulding the scientists of the future.
